Looking for a Bodie Island Lighthouse Ornament?
Honoring the Bodie Island Lighthouse, this lighthouse souvenir is a perfect addition to your lighthouse collection!
Resembling the iconic black and white striped lighthouse design we know today, the Bodie Island Lighthouse has a history that’s anything but ordinary. Now in its third life, this North Carolina lighthouse was first abandoned after its 1847 construction due to structural issues that proved disastrous. Its second construct was destroyed by Confederate soldiers in 1858, and it finally became operational after its third rebuild in 1872. A testament to persistence, this lighthouse gift is a perfect reminder to stay the course.
Your Ornament will be handmade in our South Carolina studio with years of experience, from Pecan Wood. We take great care in the creation of each of these engraved ornaments because we know they are going to you to help decorate your home and that is something we cherish.
